I don't have anything as exciting as Admin's story from today although I did drop off two pretty big cornices onto very steep slopes. The first was the cornice on the return from the Backside, past Thunder Saddle and the second was to lookers right of The Wall. After a very short lunch, I demoed some Rossignols 80s (124 top/80 waist) and then tried another pair with 128 tip and 82 waist. There was a lot of good packed powder to be found and the wind (only 20-30 mph over the top) moved some silky snow into some areas. I ended my day with a return from the Backside on Devil's Draw where they have posted a Cliff Area sign in the middle of the entry to try to keep people who aren't ready for double diamonds out. The snow was still good, but moguls are forming fast.

My wife enjoyed her Women's 3-day Weekend where she was in a group of three with an instructor the first two days and a group of four part of today. They skied a lot of ungroomed the first two days, but mostly groomed today. It was good we stayed at Kirkwood as it has hard for her to get out at 8:45 today to get her free demos and breakfast before getting on the hill at 9:30. I got to carry five loads down two flights of stairs to the car which I had to move out of the underground garage and then checkout. I was on the hill at 9:30 and ended at 3:30 with 18 runs and 24.1 K vertical
