Good snow, flat light.
I've been on the early on the hill plan, initially hitting the groomers while being shown around the mtn. Some very fun high speed runs to warm up on and already a much warmer day (probably hit low 20's by the end of the day). After the quick tour we stopped off for a quick breakfast having opted to not eat at the hotel. We then went up top and hit several laps off the poma and backside, doing the paradise to poma 'lap' a few times. Including a quick duck into West bowl just outside the boundary. Definitely refreshing boundary policies up here vs the US. 6" had fallen 2 days prior, but there was plenty of freshly wind blown in powder, buffed soft, or simply leftovers (or in one case untouched) to be found. Good coverage too. A lap into Whitehorn 2 brought the worst light of the day - sort of a ski by braille run, though in great soft snow. At some point before a very late lunch in the backside Temple Lodge, we hit the large glades off of Ptarmigan. Very sweet and 2 days after the most recent storm, still only partially tracked. An excellent diamond pitched glade with wide spacing. The brief afternoon spent checking out some of the interesting features off Larch like Rock Garden and then some more runs on the front side where visibility was a bit better.
Definitely a place I'd like to spend some more time on a good visibility day lapping some of the steeps and chutes on the backside.
