Lazy man's question: Seattle Dec 10-12

This has probably already been covered, maybe even for me last year, but I am sooo lazy... :)

I will be in Seattle for a conference Dec 5-9. I want to tack on 2 days of skiing after the conference.

Do I need to go up to Whistler for reliable snow, or can I count on the Seattle areas (Stephen's Pass, Crystal, Alpental, etc?
 
No need to decide until you get there. It's the slow time of year, so if you need Whistler lodging last minute you'll have no problem finding it.

The Seattle locals can be spectacular in early/mid-December, or not off the ground yet. Mt. Baker tends to get up to speed a week or two ahead of the other WA places, so if you end up going to Whistler a stop at Baker may still be worthwhile, like mine last January.
