Final day of the season at Le Massif, and closing with plenty of snow. All but La 42 and 43 were open for skiing with more than adequate cover, although a couple of the lowest runs were showing a bare spot or two. Spring snow conditions primarily ruled, although the bumps in Le Sous-Bois were a bit firm. Nah, that's from an uphill chair looking back. It was taken to show where the chair will be extended this summer - if you look carefully, you'll see that the original liftline (now overgrown) extended further down the hill. That's where the chair will begin, starting next season. A full story on the mountain's expansion will appear on our site in early summer.
