I called the 5AM report this morning, and they said 1" new with a 38" base at the bottom and 40" mid-mountain. Hmmmm...
Yesterday when I left the base was 33'' with 40" midway. It was 32 degrees and snowing hard at 11 AM.
How can it snow all night and only drop 1"???? Simple, go up and get one of the finest powder days I can remember in a long time. While the rest of the TGW crowd was at home scratching their heads, yours truly was enjoying the "Luck of the Irish" (old powder saying). When I got home I rechecked the report, it said 44" and 54" mid-mountain, temperature 18 degrees still snowing hard! Snooze you lose...
Moral of the story: You don't have to be smarter than Alex Trebec to win the game show, only smarter than the other contestants.
