LOON HAD 4 INCHES OF FRESH ON TUESDAY MORNING... ALL TRAILS WERE OPEN EXCEPT TRIPLE TROUBLE WHICH WAS SKIABLE BUT NOT WORTH THE POTENTIAL BASE DAMAGE ON SKIS...MOST TRAILS HAD A DECENT FAKE PACKED UNDER THE 4 INCHES OF FRESH SO NOT TO MUCH HARDPACK APPEARED UNTIL LATE IN AFTERNOON...VERY LIGHT CROWDS!!!!! TEMPS WERE COLD THOUGH AROUND 15 W/NO WIND... HIT THE CAT ON WED AND IF I HAD A CRYSTAL BALL WOULD HAVE WENT ON TUES INSTEAD OF LOON...FRESH POW ALL OVER...5 LEGIT BUMP RUNS W/ POW BUMPS ... CAT MUST HAVE GOT 6 OR 7 AND MUCH LESS CROWD ON MON CAUSE IT WAS GREAT AND NOT TO TRACKED UP... NOT THAT THERE WAS FRESH LINES BUT THE TROUGHS IN THE MOGULS WERE NOT YET BUTCHERED...A FIVE STAR DAY ALL AROUND... IT WAS SPITTING SNOW ALL DAY LONG AND 1/2 THE TIME THE SUN WAS OUT... ONE OF THOSE RARE BUT BEAUTIFUL COMBOS...... LOGISTIC PURPOSES FORCED LOON TO BE THE PICK ON THURSDAY... NO MORE FRESH POW... DECENT PACKED POW PRETTY MUCH ALL OVER EXCEPT LOWER FLUME AND, IT APPEARS THEY ARE ATTEMPTING TO LET 1/2 OF THE LOWER QUAD LINE BUMP UP!!! GOOD FOR THEM... LOON NEEDS A BEGINER BUMP RUN!!!... VERY COLD AGAIN, BOUT 20 AND A SLIGHT WIND... THEY WERE BLOWING FAST AND FURIOUS ON LEFT SIDE OF MOUNTAIN AND SWITCHED TO QUAD SIDE AROUND THREE O CLOCK... REALLY EXPOSED AFTER 2... THEY REALLY NEED A NICE DUMP!!!!!... GREAT WEEK TO SKI IT APPEARS, CROWD WISE... TOURIST/ WEEKEND CROWD GETS THEIR FIX OVER THE LONG WEEKEND AND BAIL OUT BY NOON ON HOLIDAY MONDAY!!!! FYI!!!!
