back in action for the first time since smarty's mogul camp at blackcomb this past summer...loon was calling it 10 or 11 trails, ( local access tv channel/newspaper ) ... it was really 3 or 4, depending upon how generous u are... it was top to bottom from the gondy ( the triple is apparently open on the weekends to access sunset, not boss or triple or angel st or flume ) so it was really uppper flying fox and upper picked rock into crosscut/basin st or lower flying fox...how they get 10 or 11 i have no idea . but whatever... the snow was not bad at all on wed... soft packed chowder on top into a little heavier chowder on the lower half...spots of hard pack popped up ,but, as i learned at bump camp, that just don't matter if you are up and over and driving the knee and flexing the ankle... sorry i got carried away there in my excitement for the new knowledge!!!!... thursday showed a fresh coat of 1 inch on the bottom and 2 to 3 on top... nice and edgeable till noon and mashed potatoes were served after lunch for the duration.... no moguls anywhere ( not enough snow ) no crowds in the morning... kid racers invade about 2:00pm... GET THERE EARLY... buddy gil stayed fri morning and reported a full lot by 930a and some guns blowing on the north peak side...back again on tuesday
