Due to our move to new servers, the date and time attributed to this post is incorrect.)</I> <BR> <BR>No amusing anecdotes...just the straight poop today: <BR>loon on monday: they got 5 inches which started late the previous night. this resulted in limited grooming operations...super low water content powder...everything was open including the double dip and triple trouble... fresh powder BIMPS (ie: little bumps) as a result of the fresh on most of the blacks by 12 noon... bumps on lower flume and lower part of the trail nice for the first part of day... flume got exposed after noon and the troughs got slick...no wind and about 28f... all lifts were running <BR>Burke on tuesday: epic day!!!! 10 from the day before on top of 4 more picked up during the day...everything open except upper foxes folly ( quad line ) and lower boarder line...powder bumps on wilderness, dougs drop ( some grass/stump/rock exposure in the middle but very little ice ), lews leap and ledges... ledges were about as good as they could get w/ massive bumps and no ice... run of the day was ledges to foxes folly cut over... boarder line a close second...cold smoke all over!!! a solid 4 feet of powder in the trees off the extreme right side of lift ( riding up ) and beautifully tracked tree lines off the east bowl trees... 10f at the summit and about 20 mph wind. <BR>Wildcat on wednesday: epic day #2... total snow from previous 2 days was about 12...most simple way to go w/ this is what was NOT open- upper lift lion ( gondy line ) uppper top cat ( quad line ) feline ( black triple line ) and bits and pieces of the old red double line ( catenary ) everything else was open or opened up late morning...lower quad line ( panther ) in fine shape w/ pow bumps and no ice...all the open steeps w/ rocks had outstanding coverage and were a blast ( once again ) of cold smoke... the rest appear to be close to opening up... trees off the quad pretty tracked up but still outstanding... no lines for the bargain wed deal prob cause of the temp... about 5f at the base and wicked wind on top but once you dropped to the bumps and trees and stayed off the far left side ( riding up the lift ) it was fine...desolate at 3pm ( oh yeah!!!!!) it's a shame they close at 3:30!!!! <BR>Loon on thursday ( second hand report ) buddy gil reports very cold temps in the morning... near 0 at base w/ some wind about 20mph... they smashed everything from the last 48 hours except lower flume bumps which were wind scoured... blowing fake like crazy... no double <BR>chair running... steep grommed were windpacked w/ some ice exposure on upper flume and angel st...
