Loveland - Couple inches of fresh, wind buff to knee deep. Still pretty bare on chair 9. Found some good cliffs to keep us entertained. Picutres 1 - 11.

Wolf Creek - 40-50 inches in 3 days. Over night drove from Denver pre-blizzard. Huge drive in very bad snow late at night with no sleep. Slept 4 hours in the parking lot. Caught 3rd chair. Didn't take to many pictures. Face deep all day. One of the best days I've ever had. Pictures 12-15.

Monarch - 24 inches in the past few days. Still deep, not quite as deep as wolf creek. Good terrain, enjoyed show boating under the lifts. Pictures 16-21.

The TGR Maggots are always going on about how most of Wolf Creek is too flat to ski after a huge dump like that... any truth to that? I've never been there.

Yes, there is some truth to that. There is quite a bit of traversing to get to and from the steep stuff. We spent most of the day off of the Alberta lift and the ridge above it. About 1/2 of the vert skied off the lift we were able to find 40-50 degree shots. The other half is about 10 degrees. Either way we were skiing untracked face shots all day... Who cares if you have to traverse a little bit.

My only day at Wolf Creek was in the mid-90's after a three-day sequence of 12" + 24" + 42" snowfall. I had never seen fresh snow that deep! But as a newbe to powder, I didn't have much trouble skiing it on my phats. The steepest lines were closed. Thankfully, groomers had packed out the lowest angle trails enabling easy returns to the lifts. Without that help, the day would have probably been frustrating.

Cheers,
Jeff

man, porter... did you ever pick the right week to go to CO! it is raining in the east and dumping in CO, not bad!
