I checked Panther and found good fluff over a bit of manageable crust, especially in
Powder Bowl. I found even nicer candy in Gazelle Woods. I forgot where I went next, but I did run into Josh and we both agreed that the woods just might have had a bit too much crust. So, I proceeded to spend much of the rest of the day in the woods. I found great stuff! It turns out that the woods had great skiing that was much better than on-piste.
Bands off of the Double, short shots, stuff off of The Single, Birdland shots and golfing. I found some great fluff doing the latter as I showed a golf rookie some of the goods. The strong sun shining through the tree canopy added to the aesthetics, there.
I ran into Evan and I followed him into a lower stretch of P-B Woods that I never did
before - good coverage for this season probably has much to do with that.
At the end of the day, I loaded on The Single in order to cram in a quick cruiser before
I did my assigned sweep off of The Double. At the bottom of the headwall on Upper Antelope, the radio crackled. Uh-oh ..... I kept quiet in order to minimize chatter and confusion and I voluntarily went to the sled cache. Fellow pro patroller Jon showed up and we pulled a Batmobile outta' its cave. Jon and I were the first on the scene and sweep was out of the question for us as we had a misfortunate adventurer to take care of. Our task was very successfully completed and we felt good about what we did, especially given the nasty incidents that have occurred in snow sports this season across the continent. Beer was very tasty that evening ......

On Sunday it was trail check and then some sampling in the woods ensured. The snow had
stiffened up and was not nearly as elegant as the prior day in the forest. I did a run in Denis' playground where I found great coverage. On piste was pretty nice, though. Later in the morning, we did some sled practice on Fall Line to Glade and it went very smoothly.
Later in the day, starting roughly a little after 1PM, snow squalls dumped roughly 2-3"
and refreshed the surfaces. A Fox-Ferret-Liftline combo was especially nice as was the
sweep run of Partridge-Slalom Hill-Wren. Waterfall was a bit nasty, though.
