Not bad. Not bad at all. Some snow fell this week and was still intact in remote places. Some sun shone on the snow, although not much and mostly at the summit. Some warm air moved in, albeit not everywhere. The result was an often soft surface.

On hand was Jumpin Skirt Jimmie, MISTERrogers, and myself, for a pretty complete Friday ski club turnout. We explored new frontiers at the mountain, and a rabbit track leading to even newer frontiers of untracked slush-dust on a firm but carvable base. We skied Chute and Lift Line and Catamount and Antelope and some untracked cool whip under the Birdland lift.

We took pictures, too, the moving kind with sound and everything. Find them on the web (RealPlayer modem/broadband) at

http://real.uvm.edu:554/ramgen/waw/ski-2002-03-08.rm

Kinda like having same-day tape delay of World Cup ski racing, no?
