Couldn't take hearing about another dump somewhere else. Headed south to Magic yesterday morning. The roads got bad the further south I got. Cool.

Magic was good Friday, 6-7" of new goods. Recent owners have really thinned out Goniff Glades, a bit of a disappointment as I cruised over that way yesterday. The storm deepened. I trekked over towards Bromley to try Johnny Seesaws on a recommendation from a friend. Good grub and beers. Watched plow after plow go by. Left at 9:30 for the trek back to Magic. Whiteout conditions on the road. Sweet.

Pulled into the lot and crashed in the back of my truck. Listened to more plows and heavy equipment move snow throughout the night. In the morning, I needed to muscle my door open. Much snow.

They reported 24" overnight, but with the 6" from the day before.....YEAHHH!

First tracks, primo, down Slide of Hans, fresh tracks all morning, porpoising on teles (kinda feels like slalom waterskiing, no?) So sweeeet. Found some beautiful semi-tight woods shots in 3 spots. Red line was a rollercoaster...snow was deep and medium - sometimes heavy weight. Who cares. Much snow out there. 18" on the deck here in Warren.

Stop reading - bust out the gear and get out there.
