A lot of trails newly officially open with todays 8" last weeks 14" and whatever was under that - more than two feet of powder! Still a lot of vegetation sticking up through the snow - they need to improve the summer grooming. Lifts didn't open until 9:00 with posted opening 8:30 cause no lifties were at the top station. A line of twenty or so waiting for the first chair. Better midweek crowd than Ive seen this year on top of a good crowd Saturday and a bumper crowd with, yes, lift lines, on Sunday. Business seems to be improving.

I brought my Chubbs and was glad to have them. These 50 year old legs with limited powder experience need all the help they can get and those skis really help. Being able to ski the powder with them was too much fun - I dont care if its cheating. I friend Michael down Witch and Lucifer. He watched from below when I lost it and was kind enough to wait, making sure I was okay, while I climbed back up to collect my ski. Thanks Michael. I had to leave by 1pm to get to work.

This Magic midweek pass is working out very well. Skied 4 of the last 5 days and 15 days so far this year, at 7 areas, at an average cost of $20.73 per day.
