There was a lot of untracked powder if you knew where to look and it didn't require skiing under ropes. There was a moderate crowd for Magic mid week and I actually had some other people on one trail.

1/28 was a windy day at Stowe. Was about to board the gondola when it shut down. Then the quad shut down. The snow was pretty good on most trails. In the afternoon the quad reopened and there was some wind scour near the top. The crowds started to build once the schools let go for the weekend.

1/29 was a perfect ski day at Sugarbush. The day started on the cool side but warmed up to the 20's. The wind had scoured some trails and layered others with wind pack. The trees and undgroomed trails were in great shape. The crowds filled the lot at South and had North's lot 3/4 full.

Another storm should put this ski season back on track.
