Magic was the most crowded I've ever seen it. When I got there at 9:30 half of the back lot was full and cars were pouring in. I got my $20 Ct. ski club ticket after waiting in a long ticket line. It was even hard to find a seat in the lodge. Lift lines with both Red and Black chairs running. Both chairs stopped several times during each ride up. The trails were never crowded because of the slow lifts. Some trails I've never seen groomed were either all groomed or partialy groomed. They recently made snow on Sorcerer but it was groomed and had more ice than snow. My dull edges made it a white knuckle ride. The ungroomed natural was powder bumps with ice in between on the steeper stuff. The groomed was nice packed powder that never really got scrapped off. Talisman was closed for a race. All of the Magicians had the best coverage with small moguls and not a lot of ice. Broomstick and parts of Lucifer were groomed which I've never seen before. Lunch was a zoo in the lodge. I quit at 2:00 and had to sit on the floor to take off my boots. I miss the uncrowded Magic but it's good to see them getting the business.
