The count was 27 out of 32. Even five days after the storm there was plenty of fresh powder. Sorcerer had great natural snow moguls with a couple of thin spots, Witch was pretty good, but with some pucker brush poking through in some spots. Talisman was in geat shape. Heart of the Magician was closed at the top, but had a chute into it from Lucifer. Lower Heart of the magician had plenty of pucker brush, but was a blast to ski. Lower RedLine had good cover, but there is a lot of brush under the snow..

Wizard had been groomed which was a mistake. The step parts that had moguls last month now had a melange of snow and gravel, instead of moguls and a few thin spots. Magic needs to let the expert terrain with natural snow be groomed by skiiers and boarders instead of Pisten Bulleys.

2/6 was sunny, cool and windy. The stiff wind was blowing from the NW making Bromley a good choice for skiing 2 inches of new snow in the sun. Bromley was a good choice, they were 100% open including their two (they count three) glades. We got first tracks in their glade on the main mountain and sloppy 12th tracks in the East Bowl glade. The groomed base snow on their trails was crispy compared to Magic and may be the result of sun exposure.

The fresh snow was awesome and the wind piled snow onto some trails and filled their East Bowl. The new HS Quad went on wind hold at 9:00 AM, but the East Bowl was the place to rip powder. A little trail called Snow Ranger near the summit had drifts of snow blown onto it at 2:00 PM. The drifts allowed knee deep powder shots. Bromley doesn't have the hardcore challenge of Magic, but the skiing was fun and there were some decent bump runs in bright sunshine.
