Friday 3/16 was a warm, sunny and windless day. Magic was a powdery at the summit and little firm at the base early in the day. Mtn Management ran a groomer over wizard and talisman which broke the crust to expose creamy packed powder. Once the sun warmed up the trails most of the lower 2/3 of the mtn was soft snow. Slide of Hans, talisman, master magician, heart of the magician, and witch had epic soft bumps. With the exception of one patt of master magician the cover at Magic is still exceptional. A great ski day with no crowds, but only the summit triple running. <BR> <BR>Saturday 3/17 was cooler, windless and cloudless or the perfect spring ski day. I had two lift ticket coupons for Okemo and headed there early. Okemo was more crowded, but the extra skiers served to losen the buffed corduroy earlier. The sun softened the snow and the skiers bumped it up. This was a great ski day, though Okemo lacks the challenge of Magic there were plenty of bump lines to offset the lift lines.
