After the rain on Thursday, I wasn't expecting much on Friday. Nevertheless I found some good snow hiking off Chair 12 that absolutely nobody else touched all day. Chairs 5 and 3 opened later in the day and the snow wasn't great. It was mostly wind-scoured, but still not terrible. Around 2:00 the temperature dropped considerably and the snow really started to firm up. Anything untracked developed a pretty brutal crust.
It was also my first day on the Lhasa Pows. They handled all sorts of crusts better than my Praxis yet also carved way better on firm snow. They're also incredibly light and making quick turns is so easy for a ski with a 34 meter radius. Definitely the best skis I've ever tried and I haven't even skied them in their preferred conditions.
