An interesting trip. An entire very lengthy description of the trip can be found at http://www.telemarktalk.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=14264.
**Cliff notes**
-drove up in rain went to french catholic mass
-skiied MSA in spring conditions starting in rain
-skiied Le Massif with 6-8" of wet fresh, got first tracks down La Petite-Rivière
-x-country skiied at MSA and stumbled around quebec for an exhaustive day off
-skiied mainly the west side of MSA during the day and night skiied to finish the vacation
-drove 12 hours home today

Ish... not lucky with the weather !

Effectively, this year is really snow/rain/snow/rain/snow/rain all the time. It's tough to find the great spots without too much crowd, but it's possible to take advantage of the **wisdom** of some people who will head to Bromont or Tremblant, thinking that it won't be crowded during the holidays ! LOL

You say it was your first time on a t-bar ? Ish... I heard that this t-bar was about the most extreme one in the east or so. (extremely steep on top)

Yeah it was my first time riding a t-bar. I had ridden platters out at vail but they were basically on the flat, thats the only thing close. The top of the west side T-bar is very steep, i would think a diamond rating if it was a trail. Going up that last stretch i was basically sitting on the bar because of the degree of the slope. It was a fun experience though and definetly was a change from todays lazy easy on off high-speed quads.

Yeah, it's quite different with the t-bars... but considering the super nice terrain of Mt Sainte-Anne Ouest (according to my sources as I never skied it), the t-bar becomes less worst !!

Yeah... and if Woodi talked of a diamond slope, many talk of a double black diamond slope ;)

I never took it, though, so I can't be sure.

The right t-bar of Shefford is also quite steep near the top. average of 25 degrees, but with short pitches of close to 40 degrees. Really nice and it was amazing to make the first tracks of the day into it (with 16" of fresh + snow drifts twice higher), even though it was impossible to not fall at a moment..... lol

The terrain over there and the lack of people because of the T-bar made it the best runs of the day and the best we had at MSA. It's definetly worth a little more work on the uphill for what you get on the downhill. Personally i never want to see MSA change the T-bar to a quad or something else because then the trails would be overrun by people who simply don't belong on those trails. None of the trails are too difficult but are basically as far as i could tell left wild and ungroomed and rely on mostly natural snow for cover. Seemed like some classic old school skiing.
