just rode until 1pm today. temps were warm! high 40's? snow was slow and sticky in the sun.
trails still have decent coverage. no dirt spots showing up yet.
some stumps becoming exposed though.......in the less traveled areas.
The Headwaters is firm and choppy. no rocks in the gut though.
i thought there'd be some windblown pockets up there with the 2" that fell
yesterday and last night; it was just a firm slab.
looked fresh, but was real slabby. speaking of slabs, patrol was still
shooting off charges when i arrived at the top of the six shooter.
they sent a small avalanche from the top of Three Forks, tumble over the
cliffs and create a pretty cool looking powder cloud. pretty sweet!
boardercross and skiercross on sunday at big sky.
