When Liz and I arrived at Arches National Park at 1:30PM on Sept. 11, we found the road chained as the park was at capacity. Rather than sit around and wait we drove up to Dead Horse Point. The view of the Colorado River from there is more dramatic IMHO than the view of the confluence with the Green River father south in Canyonlands.

At far right you can see the Shafer Trail which turns south and ascends to the mesa in Canyonlands. I drove down Shafer Trail in April 2011.
View east over the potash evaporation ponds to the La Sal Mountains.
We drove down and got into Arches at 3:30PM.
We spent Sept. 12 in Capitol Reef but couldn't resist this stop in Hanksville on the way.
On Sept. 13 we drove from Richfield to Las Vegas. We took a 45 minute walk in Red Canyon, an easy stop with hoodoo formations at similar elevation as Bryce Canyon farther east. Overview:

We drove a scenic route to I-15 and stopped at the Chessmen Ridge overlook of Cedar Breaks.
Tesla must be growing in popularity in Utah. The St. George supercharger has become a weekend choke point. We had to wait 20 minutes to get a spot, as I did in March on the way home from Snowbird. In all our travels ~270 supercharges since buying the first Tesla in 2016, there have only been two other times we have had to wait for a charge.
