OK Guys,
We're all starved for snow (no) news, and these pics are about a week old...but, I think we still have some of the best conditions in the West. So here you go.
I took a few days off to rest and do yoga. Tomorrow I plan to do some more skate skiing as the big hill is pretty hard but still well covered. Thursday AM is forecasted to bring 3-5" new. We'll see.
This photo I took a week ago off the Rainbow triple. This side of Bachelor starts to flatten out down towards the Sunrise Lodge. But it's still very interesting terrain especially after the steeper western slopes have been tracked out.
This is the Practice Oval, part of the Nordic Area. The envy of most ski areas in North America this season, needless to say there is good coverage.
We bid on and won an exclusive snowcat trip to explore the new terrain serviced by a new chair due next season just to the left of this photo. The old Rainbow chair gets shortened and becomes the access for the new high-speed chair to the east. Not steep but very open trees with good pillows. Very well protected from the prevailing gales and in the pow zone. Report to follow.
