We got another 6" overnight after somewhat of a lull in the most recent storm cycle. It's been quite warm, but the snow levels have remained favorable for the ski area. It was 31 degrees in the parking lot at 8:30 so I was expecting some more dense powder.

Not much to see with the fog and frozen precip. You can see a guy hiking up out of "The Compression", up the wind swept backside of the Cone, which I have featured many times on this website.

Looking up to some terrain serviced by the Red Chair below West Boundary. Sure the snow was stiff powder, but that is why they have snowboards! Duh! We now have a 60" base. We're expecting some rain for a few days and then much colder, snowy days for X-Mas week. Outback Express Chair is scheduled for tomorrow with the Northwest Express due this weekend. Now we have a ski area.

I took seven high speed laps and then back to town for some appointments. It took me a little more than an hour. I'm glad I came, worth the effort. This is West Village with the upper mountain lost in the clouds.

Notice how Admin always has pics of guys smoking cigarettes and people sitting around drinking coffee? Well, we don't do that out here in Oregon. We take pictures of our cars in the lot!
