Jeez, I finally got around to taking some pictures. It's been beyond good here and I just go up and charge, camera in pocket, too happy enjoying these last powder days to unzip the pocket. Later this week the sun will win and we'll go into (oh darn) a corn cycle and then kiteboarding and all that.
We have had 543'" this season and just short of 200" of base so spring skiing should be OK. That's three out of the last four winters above average so I'm wondering if these damn glaciers around here are going to get off their lazy asses and start growing???
After spending the morning lapping the West Bowls I meandered over to the Summit Chair. There was a bunch of folks waiting but it opened soon after and so up we go. I can't believe how much snow we have.
We got another foot last night and it was windy so no surprise the entire Cirque Bowl slid almost wall-to-wall. Check the fracture on the looker's left. Photo taken from the bed surface. I usually go straight off the back but today I just wanted some big open terrain to really open it up.
Here's the main slide path which ran all the way down to the base of the terminal moraine and turned right and stopped. Whew! Skiers and riders were dutifully tracking out the soft in between the tongues.
Another perspective of some of Bachelor's charms with three well-covered stratovolcanoes in the background.
