It's hard posting after Admin and company, I'm truly envious of the snow they get up at the end of those canyons! But there were maybe 15 cars parked at the base of Bachelor this morning for a somewhat less competitive uphike.
It snowed quite a bit last night and so Spenny and I were a little more motivated than yesterday to get a decent start. We pulled in at 9 and the dawn patrol telemarketers had put in some tracks. These guys don't buy passes and during the regular season they always try and put in some tracks on the cone before the lifts roll.
I talked Spenny (14 years old) into hiking the cone with the old man. I've been training hard for some endurance races this coming season so it was hard to not drop him on the boot pack even though I'm over 40 years his senior.
I wound up taking three laps in some very consistant freshies with good coverage. Too bad it's going to get so warm this week, but I'm glad I got to get it while it was good!
