I'll use this thread to post my TR.

Had HUGE fun today.

A little bitter at Tony and whoever else got it on the last 2 days, but whaddya gonna do, you're riding Baldy in December. It was still a very fun day all things considered, especially since my only previous riding this season was down Miracle Mile of Ice at Summit before the storms hit.

Rode up Chair 1 and was surprised at how much snow there was- I expected less coverage for some reason. Then, since I've been craving it since April, I just had to go hit up Bentley's first, which I thought was probably a dumb decision but you gotta do what you gotta do. It turned out to be really nice in there- chunky up top but relatively smooth and very carveable from midway down. Pure stoke right out of the box- no fresh tracks to be had here though. Nightmare might have been OK but I didn't feel like finding out, and Windslab was pretty much just a Rockslab.

Back up 1, and then figured I'd go take a quick lap up 4 to see if there was anything left in there. Didn't expect much, and expectations were met. Now Thunder-bound.

Found some untracked patches in the trees off of Goldridge, surprisingly enough, and figured I'd check to see if South Bowl was open and worth it. It was, and it was. You had to get creative with your lines to get into virgin snow, but there was some back there for the pillaging. Lapped South Bowl rest of the morning morning, then hit Bentley's one more time before a couple beers and some chili cheese fries.

It was a warm day and everything was pretty torn up after lunch, so I took some speed laps down Robin's, and finished the day off with another couple great laps down Bentley's.

It was crowded up there today but liftlines stayed short, and there was almost nobody in South Bowl or on Bentley's anyway so the crowds added nothing negative to the day (except for the lunchline in the Notch). Very, very fun day. Now let it snow some more!

Garry Klassen was also at Baldy Saturday. He had similar comments, agreed Bentley's and South Bowl were the highlights.
