Had the day off from school so me and my friend decided we might as well go snowboarding. We originally had planned to go to Snow Summit, but my friend realized he had to be back a bit earlier than he orgianially though so mt high it was. I pulled into the parking lot at East around 8:10, and was on the slopes by 8:30. It was fairly cold, well at least for SoCal, temps where in the teens, and maybe colder with the wind chill.

I had a bit of an inncident on our second run, im not exactly shure what happended, but when i got to the top of the lift i looked down to see that my toe strap on my rear binding had actually snapped off, no joke, i guess it really was that cold. I brought my board to the repair shop, and paid 25 dollars for a new toe strap (wasnt even a cap strap, so im gonna have to get it replaced again anyway), and then got back on the slopes to find that the genius in the repair shop had put such a short toe strap on that my friend literally had to help me tighten it, it barelly fit. (Man, do i love the employees at mt. high.)

around 10:00 we went to take a peek at west, we got off the shuttle to find well the usual giant mess of people that is called mt. high west, and were even more suprised to find that both chairs 5 and 6 were shut, wasnt sure what that was about, but we went back to east after only one run.

anyway, all things considered it was still a pretty fun day. They only had two trails open at east, but the vert is 1,600, and its pretty much empty and you have a express quad to yourslef, so cant complain too much.

took a few pics while i waited for my friend to use the bathroom at the base, then of course my camera died when we got to the top, yah i have a serious issue of remebering to charge the thing, ill work on it.
