This vacation is starting to get a bit repetitive. Skinned Mansfield to the Forehead Friday PM. Sat at MRG with a mixed bag of ski maniacs. Watched my son Sunday. Monday night went back up the Teardrop for a skinnin sweatin bumpin run in 80 degree temps. Today skied MRG.
Ski News:
Treardrop:
-The log we measure snowpack on Mansfield is finally poking it's top out of the snow. Last night I saw about a pie plate size patch of it. This is the first sign in months I have had of it. Bittersweet!
-I had cut a notch into a tree at the "jump pitch" on the Teardrop in late March when we we at max snow depth to mark it; now it is a ski pole above the snow up there...
-Last night we four-wheeled up to the bottom of the Lower Teardrop. The bottom half of the trail is all rotten snow and water bars. Next time up we will have to hike in to the Lower Teardrop trail headwall. It is feeling like the end is getting nearer...

MRG:
We had a great day today, although skiing and conditions were "a bit variable". Started out 70 plus in the sun--but ended with cold rain and fog. ( I am now too tired to post more self indulgent skiing drivel...) I need to go to bed- gotta get up and go to Stowe Wendesday.
