Conditions are nothing short of suberb for late July on the East Side of Mighty Mt Shasta. Snowline is about 7,500', within 30 minutes of trailhead. Super smooth to 10K, below that the sun cups are totally manageable.
Ben Mitchell thought they might do another guided trip in July for prospective Antarctic cruisers. He mentioned the later trips might be on the east side. But there were no roads plowed over there to the trailheads in June.

They don't plow any of the trailheads, except on the south side to Bunny Flat (standard route). The Brewer Creek trailhead is still 1 mile out but well worth the effort.
