My Week in Zion 2/1-2/9

It was a fantabulous week for us in Utah which included some of the best snow and the best skiing we've ever encountered, in quantity and quality. Also the camaraderie amongst the skiing community was something to embrace, from the hospitality of my dear friends, who provided us with comfortable digs, guide service, transportation and companionship, to the random people we met on the chair lifts, in the lift lines, lodges and hot tubs who were open and friendly as we shared the joy these mountains and fine snow conditions bring.

Thank you all who were part of this wonderful vacation experience.

Here my photo and video album of the entire trip.

That looks like huge fun. Looks like the snow is following you now. Good to have you back east, we need it!

Your photo album and video validate the adage: "A picture is worth a thousand words." No additional explanations are needed when I am asked why I sold out, packed up, and drove 2300 miles in a Penske truck last year to live here. Today was a classic "Blue Sky Day" with temps into the thirties with no wind at altitude (The valley hit 48 degrees.). I worked my way across Alta, over the ridge into Mineral Basin, through the basin, down to the Tram, and then all the way back to Wildcat to my car.

Peter, too bad we didn't get to ski with you. I tried to make contact a couple of times during the week. I suppose you had other things going on.
