day.6... didn't make it into snowbird today , knowing what was further up the road . wasn't the best day for picture taking , but i got a couple . storm wasn't a complete bust but surely would have liked more . took a different route from watsons shelter to the summit . out through the trees behind watsons up and over the saddle and continued up race hill , that is what i eventually skied down , then from there down it was the same as sat. , only today there was three new inches making it even nicer .

the light was kind of flat but you can see some , the sun was in and out of the clouds at breakneck speed .

skied down lower aggies alley out to low boy and was standing there when mr. &mrs. admin made an appearance on the entry road to goldminers daughter parking lot . skied down and had a min. or two of conversation with them . not sure but it seemed there was slightly more up hill traffic today than yesterday . snowbird had all the snow guns in lower gad valley going that i could see.

Bobby...you have six more daze than I have! It looks like the skiing is shaping up nicely. I say bring it on! Looking forward to seeing you in December....

We took a Sunday afternnon drive up both BCC and LCC, and couldn't have timed it better as we pulled into the Wildcat turn-around right as Bobby Danger skied up.

Fox13 News was also up in Albion filming:

I felt lazy in the morning yesterday, but I really should've skied. Cover is starting to look solid with the mid-mountain base depth now at 27". Things are shaping up nicely for the season opening, now only two and a half weeks away.

...And fixed your fix!

Good bite and a really valiant attempt there Marc_C.

Not to mention Al's blog is already discussing when natural snow areas might open (they're ski cutting, ski packing, etc... all over the place already). And this at one of the slowest places to open natural snow terrain in all of Colo.

Or just read up on what the World Cup'ers were doing at Copper on Friday courtesy of Admin http://www.firsttracksonline.com/20...st-snow-coverage-ever-at-copper-speed-center/

This absolutely true. A-Basin was less than half open to mid-February last season. So 12% now is noticeably ahead of schedule. In 2 weeks or so we'll know more when the bigger places open and how much there is then.

appears we've got to wait a bit for the weather to cooperate but was a pretty good week... monday was pretty fun, lake effect from tuesday felt/rode like full on winter and this morning....well, pretty firm down below but still nice settled powder to be found up high.
