Looks like Mammoth is down to snowmaking snow for the most part?

Been real warm over this way for a couple of weeks now - pretty much ever since the big Oct storm. Finally supposed to start getting some of the PNW snow and cold coming this way by the weekend.

Yup, until today when a storm rolled in and dropped about 6 inches on the mountain, and cold temps so they are blowing snow like crazy. Today was actually really fun, totally felt like winter!

In terms of where you can actually ski, yes.

Runs: Open: Saddle Bowl, Far West, Forest Trail and Broadway

All of the above are on snowmaking.

Some of Snowman's earlier pics do show upper mountain coverage on Face of 3, Climax, Drop Out. There's a base but it's probably bulletproof as that October storm ended in rain. Not sure how much resurfacing they will want before letting people ski those places again. Probably just a little bit plus grooming for face of 3 and Cornice, likely a couple of feet needed for anything else.

Face of 3 was open yesterday and today, only groomed about the lower 1/3 of it.

West bowl was not bad. Didn't do the face today, but yesterday in the middle of the storm cycle was about 4-5 inches on top of hardpack. Could still hold a decent edge.
