Packed and ready

I don't know where you flying from? But big storm is hitting part of the East tomorrow.

\:D/ \:D/ \:D/

Hope your flight isn't delayed.

yeah, I'm aware of the potential for flight delays.

I'm flying late in the day...Ith-Detroit-Minn-SLC...yeah, too many flights and too many places to get hung up...but not much I can do, but keep my fingers crossed. At least by later in the day the storm will be done and over, but who knows how it will affect the schedule throughout the day...could be a domino effect...esp if I'm waiting for a plane coming from Detriot to take me to Detroit...not much I can do about it but try to be as patient as possible

If I get in late, it will suck, but it seems there will be no shortage of powder throughout the week. I'm sure I will be able to get my fill and tire myself out, even if I get there later than expected

The two feet of new yesterday at Snowbird didn't suck. I'll get around to posting something today.

And Sharon, if your jinx shuts off the spigot we're sending you back to Ithaca via UPS!

Northwest? That sounds like my Ottawa-Det-Minn-Bozeman with a return SLC-Minn-Det-Ott back in 2006.

Flight was delayed (in a storm) in Ottawa, missed my connection in Detroit. Fortunately there was another flight to Minn one hour later.

Have fun. :P

Latest forecast here is calling for 20-30cm in town. Tremblant snow-forecast.com is calling for 53cm tomorrow (unfortunately I can't really take the day off, I was off last Friday, Monday and Tuesday). I'm sure there are a bunch of co-workers that would prefer being in LA right now.

To Marc and the Utards...superstitions are BS

The forecast was calling for ridging by late week, so expect sunshine before you pack me up and send me home...but I believe I'll have already satisfied the jones by then and some sunshine will be welcome.

I am skiing 7 days!!!

However, from the discussion, that ridging may not happen until I leave...they are saying there's potential for another storm 6-7 days out. So I may get a final blast of powder before I leave.

As always, it will be tough to go home to our neurotic weather in the east, but hopefully by then there will a change and by the time I'm recovered from skiing 7 days of the greatest snow on earth, I will be able to ski out my door when I get back.

Dude, I don't know what "cm" means, but read it and weep:

Sunday night:
Partly cloudy with a slight chance of rain or snow showers.

Why weep???

The only people that were weeping right now are my co-workers that are California (or other warm climates) Dreaming.

PS. 95% of them don't know there is great skiing in California, let alone skiing.

Happy Sharon is going to get some fresh tracks (unless she's jinx? - I'll let Admin reply to that). Happy that I'll be getting some fresh tracks.

have a blast!
i wasn't expecting too much b-4 i showed up but, after 6 backcountry days and 3 resort days out there half dumping and half blue bird i'm now happy to be back in nh and very satisfied with what the wasatch put up. your week should be truly epic with coverage being better than most years anyone can remember.

C'mon, Patrick - dude. You gotta know I was jerk ... uh ... playing you. I sorta know what cm means. It's on my snowboard somewhere, I think. I've seen the fluff shots plenty o' times in them woods. Here, we call fluffy anything under 15%.

From the UAC advisory this morning:
This morning will be a welcome break in the action, though the next storm, poised off the northwest coast, will be here by evening. Temperatures today will warm into the upper teens at 8,000’ and the low teens at 10,000’. The winds are shifting to the west southwest, and will slowly increase into the 15 to 25 mph range, with exposed terrain having gusts into the 40’s by afternoon. Clouds will increase this afternoon, with light snowfall possible, especially north of I-80. A foot of snow is expected overnight, with additional snow on Friday. A brief break Saturday will be followed by another solid snow event, perhaps of less intensity but longer duration, starting on Sunday.

I just remembered! You do realize that there is no skiing this Saturday in Utah, right? It's the funeral for the Prophet and President, the late Gordon B. Hinckley.
