You hear correctly. Lake Louise, which similarly averages about 135 inches snowfall per year, has had 57 so far this season. Mark Renson reported that Rogers Pass (famous backcountry ski area which averages 500 inches) is marginal. This is the worst season in at least 20 years in interior BC. Panorama skiing will be mainly snowmaking with minimal advanced terrain. If you can get out of the trip or go somewhere else, do it!
