Had to drive to the suburban sprawl strip-mall hell of Midway today. :stir:

Steady snow squalls are moving through the Wasatch off and on following yesterday's storm which dropped another 9" at Alta. This morning one minute it was sunny, the next it was snowing to beat the band. A few folks atop Parley's Summit forgot the adage, "Bridge Freezes Before Road Surface," resulting in a multi-vehicle game of bumper cars that sent a semi swerving over the embankment, rolling several times before landing with the rubber side up on the roadway below the overpass. Good times at amateur hour!

You've mentioned this a few times, so it must be part of the ongoing culture wars... who made the alleged crack about Midway?
 
My original post was about the darkside of lifestyle meccas, not about whether Midway or anywhere else in UT is a suburban hellhole. And even though I made it clear that my question wasn't exclusively about Bend, Schubwa started in with the I'm-better-than-you smugness, and it went downhill from there.

I can only start fascinating, thought-provoking threads. Once they're out of the barn, I can't control them.
