Day 7: I ventured up to Park City this morning to pick up my pass, take a few runs and mess around some more with photo spheres. Once again, the seams are fairly glaring but I'm getting the hang of doing a better job at it. It's also tough to do when there are lots of people moving through your scene.

The terrain open was the usual early-season stuff at PCMR: Home Run and Treasure Hollow from PayDay, a terrain park off 3 Kings and the First Time lift for beginners. Coverage was solid and wall to wall, and surfaces were a reasonably pleasant man made. There were many, many more people than at Alta yesterday, including a surprising number of out of town visitors. Weather was beautiful and sunny, with temperatures a pleasant 40 degrees.

Cool photos !!!!

I've created a photo sphere BBcode so anyone with an Android 4.3 or up can post them. As more people transition to these phones I think that photo spheres will become more prevalent, and what better way to show what a ski day looked like?

The best ones I've taken so far were on a three-day backcountry trip a few weeks back in Canyonlands National Park on the White Rim. I'm still organizing photos for that post, but you can preview those photo spheres now by clicking on the tiny link below each photo sphere above.

I noticed that you are skiing your S7's on a purely groomer day. Any particular reason that you didn't go with something that has a narrower waist or do the S7's ski well enough on the hardpack?

Those skis are my daily driver. Frankly, they do everything well. I've never owned a more versatile design.

I'd still be using an old ski on a day like that, just in the interest of extending the life of a ski you really like. Nonetheless I suspect a Park City WROD is easier on skis than one in SoCal.

So, now you're deciding how I should use my vacation days and which skis I should be using? [-X

And tracking your powder days.

Tony: find a hobby, like skiing or something.

Will my wish come true: these two boys, in person, going at it....?

Has anybody here experienced such a grand moment??

Yes. Not nearly as fascinating or interesting as you seem to think it is. More like a cantankerous argument between two mothers-in-law.
