Day 12: Pleasant cruising.

(Sorry if this is a day late -- I came home from PCMR yesterday only to discover that my laptop finally gave up the ghost.)

If I was forced to ski the same groomers in LCC for yet another day in a row I was going to gnaw an arm off, so I opted to return to PCMR to see what, if anything, had changed over the past week since my last visit.

In short, not much. The Thanksgiving holiday crowds were gone, and they opened up another trail -- Muckers -- but that's about it.

But with the added elbow room I had fun cruising for three hours. The open terrain was perfectly pitched for carving arcs from edge to edge with little fear of someone else getting in the way. It was a pleasant change of scenery for me.

With little snow recently and few snowmaking opportunities down low in the warm weather they've aimed their snow guns instead at the mid-mountain Silverlode lift, which opens tomorrow, so that should keep things interesting for the few who are skiing.
