Day 33: Blue skies, sunshine, and even a little pow
The Crocker family's in town, and I've been neglecting the magazine a little bit. It's time to get caught up a bit with things, and I'll start with these three days of reports.
Friday at Park City was gorgeous, but a bit chilly in the valley in the a.m. thanks to an inversion. We headed straight for Jupiter. We actually managed to find some untracked and lightly tracked fluff left over from the day before by traversing out to 1st Bowl. Scotts Bowl had some untracked left at the far skier's left that was heavily wind drifted, but each drift gave way under our skis with little to no resistance. South-facing stuff like lower Pinecone Ridge was getting a bit heavy in the sun, and they were inexplicably reserving upper Pinecone for the weekend when it would clearly be baked beyond its expiration date.
We lunched on Main Street, and I did my best to give the best tour that I could of PCMR's little nooks and crannies. We went to the last bell.
I'll create a video this week from all three days.
