there was about a foot of heavy wet powder draped across PATS PEAK 710'vertical drop-- when i got there sat morning...half the area was ungroomed, prob cause its going to close for the season apr1.i will say the intermed trails from the summit were good,it was really a day of cloudy skies--no sun--about 40degrees and few people.lots of people in the lodge/lounge--but low key on the slopes.i did try FIS racing trail, god was it hard to turn in the mashed potatoes! skis were hooking out left and right on everybody.loads of snow.i would do a pole plant and my pole would go in 3 feet! <BR> the triple to the top was running--the chair on the far right, the j bar,and handle tow were all going...2 other chairs to the top were not running.i liked being here cause the last time i skied PATS was about 1980!its still the same great lil place!
