PCMR TO Alta

I will be in Park City in a couple of weeks. I would like to take the Family over to Alta.. What is the best way to do this. I think i have asked this question before, I just can't find my post.. Thanks for your help.

I'm assuming you won't have a rental car. In that case, Google "Park City Car Rentals" find a convenient agency, and rent a car for 24hrs on the evening before. Specify a ski rack (all the agencies have them available) and you will be good to go. This gives you the most flexibility in terms of where you wish to ski, park, and you can carry a lot of gear that may or may not need during the day. If you are not there during "President's" Week, you will be able to park in the first or second row in any lot at Alta or Snowbird.

I will be there during Pres week.. I couldn't avoid it.. As far as getting a good spot.. Shouldn't be a problem. My kids and I don't sleep much past 6. I will be there early.

I'll bet a week rental from SLC won't be a whole lot more than a day rental from Park City. You won't be sorry if you do this. I predict you'll ski more than one day in the Cottonwoods.

Could be true, especially during Presidents Week. I don't like being at any resort without a car. I hate not having choices about where to ski, eat, shop, etc.. I just fiqure a car rental into the cost of a trip. Of course, when I am with some friends, I usually get to share the cost. With three or four guys sharing, it makes no sense not to have the luxury of wheels. I hate resort food (and prices) and like driving down into the restaurants in Salt Lake. There are so many nice ones.
