This morning I went to Plattekill with my wife, Robin. I was stoked having hit Powder Daizes many times before. The snow became really deep in that part of the Catskills. We pulled in the parking lot at 8:20 AM.

We got in the lift line, of course they didn't open till 9. We proceeded to have 10 of the greatest powder runs. We had freshies every run, ending with a untracked knee deep tree shot right next to the triple chair at 11am. This was the easist turning snow I have ever had. Spray went in my mouth and down my lungs. I screamed at others on the lift, " is this knee deep?" I received many cheers in return.

We went back to Hunter, where I was delighted to find even more of my tree shots still unskied. I skied myself silly ending the day by skiing under the quad and D lift. I then fell into the hot tub with my kids. It was still pounding and I wondered how I could explain to my partner about three days in a row. And what about Friday's storm??

I know Vermont is great right now, but if you can't make it, Hunter is wide open.
