I'm not sure how good a mountain for corn Powder Mt. is. I did corn snow cat skiing at Mt. Bailey in Oregon in April 2000 and was impressed. But Bailey is a steep volcanic cone with 360 degree exposure to follow the sun around.
As a Californian I share ChrisC's perspective. We got lots of corn snow opportunities at lift serve prices, midday today at Mammoth for example. So there is some resistance to paying catski prices for corn as opposed to paying for non-competitive powder. I do realize there are some Utards who get more or the latter than they do corn. :-({|=
