Ragged was in pretty good shape on Saturday and the best skiing was in the glades between Ragged and Spear peaks. While the snow wasn't fluffy it was edgeable and fun. There were some skied off patches of frozen granular from the traffic from the six-pack, but Spear Mtn had great snow until the end of the day.

The sunny and clear sky made the views from the summit spectacular. Distant peaks were distinct including the snowy summit of Washington. It was cool Saturday morning, but warmed up as the day went on.

Sunapee had some crust in the glades and the best glade I skied were the Summit Glades. The Sunrise Glades were crusty as it seems Sunapee got more rain than Ragged. The groomers were fast and edgeable with some slick spots showing by mid afternoon. My favorite groomers were Lynx and Williamson because of the lack of intersections and great snow.

As an occaisonal Sunapee skier, I was shocked how crowded it gets now that Okemo is managing the hill. The main lot between the lodges was full at 8:30 AM and when i left at 3:00PM it seemed like every lot was full.
