Red Mountain - Happy New Year FT!

Happy New Year indeed! We (Skootch, Wiggles, & I) left KHMR 12/26 and headed to RMR and spent two glorius days there in absolute blue bird bliss. Conditions were similar to what we had enjoyed at the Horse but without the extreme inversion, although one was still in place but with less of a bottom to top variable - but more on RMR later (we are back there now and its off the hook!) Red Mountain and the town of Rossland are my absolute favourite places on the Planet and this visit did not disappoint in the least. Red like all of the BC interior had not received any significant snow fall in a number of days. I know my way around Red and Granite pretty good and me and the lads and our congenial host Wazdog had no problem finding fresh lines with minimal effort. However, as if Ullar was blessing this tour in a way that only true powder hounds can understand, the system moved in as we arrived and ramped up throughout our stay. We awoke on Jan 1 to about 15cm of pow and the game was on! Without a doubt the best day for me ever at Red and I have been going there since 1998. Happy New Year indeed! Buckle up Biatches. I remain...Longshanks the Indian Sheppard
