Salt Lake - Restuarants?

I'm heading out to Salt Lake the first week of March...
Staying in Sandy - Does anyone have any restaurant recommendations for the Sandy, Holliday, Murray, Cottonwood Heights area?

Discovered Bohemia on my last trip - great German food after a long day on the mountain.
Also used to go to Café Madrid, Tuscany/Francks...

Interested in some new places, to try as I'll be in town for at least 5 nights with some salt lake first timers.

Thanks - Markiel

Pat's BBQ is worth the 20 minute drive to SLC. As good of BBQ as you'll find anywhere. Usually live music too

Thanks for the tip...

I've had hit or miss luck with Yelp, seems like everyplace is rated 4ish on yelp... You get your semi-professional posters and a few people that seem to have a vendetta against a place for what ever reason.

Since this board seems to be pretty salt lake centered, I figured some of the locals might have some good recommendations.

I'll try out Tiburon, and keep Pats in mind if the group is up for some BBQ...

I've been to RI twice and wasn't terribly impressed both times........but then again, this is coming from a Californian who has spent quite a bit of time in Mexico........

Thanks for the tips, will keep Red Iguana and/or Luna Puenta in mind for mexican...

My buddy asked about any "funky, cheap local specialties"...

Which outside of utah powder, I don't actually know of the local specialties in Salt Lake...
Any more tips are appreciated. We are heading out first week of march.

Pats BBQ, just trust me, it's funky and special.

Local specialties? Besides fry sauce (yuck!) and green jello I don't think there are any.

Oh, ok... cutthroat trout, Utah lamb and Beehive cheese.
