Rain in Terrace, Wednesday morning mountain reported 13cm new snow at mid-mountain. Again, snowed hard all day. Unfortunately all the south facing stuff (most of the area) suffered during the previous week and refreezed. The SouthWest facing Woods and expert runs that I did with Lucky Luke were unskiable.

North side woods were amazing and had much more than 13cm. Deliverance had a lot of wind blown snow. The runs were short (mostly skied t-bar). Faceshots in the woods. The hike up on the bootpack and backside you have been amazing. A film crew skied and film in the woods from the top of the bootpack and weren't disappointed. I didn't go, because the goods were good on the hill and I was alone. There was also the avy risk.

Since that day (especially now that I'm back home), Shames been getting approximately 15cm/day. Ski area was closed today (Saturday March 1st) with 18cm, for avy control on the road. It seems that it's only a matter of time until you get a real powder day at Shames.
