Ski areas.

I did attend a refresher for NSP at Buffalo Ski area, Erick's ski area, purchased by the club to expand their area. No, it is not steep. I can say, lovely patrol. We are more uptight, competitive in the So. CA patrol scene. They are truly a patrol. The neighborhood surrounding the ski area is gorgeous. I was driven by a fellow patrolman and it was 1.5 hour drive from Rochester, NY. It seems like a place more for winter fun than hard core skiing. Nothing wrong with that.I am trying to decide to take a leave of absence this winter from patrol, or attend, or?????????? Perhaps in a laid back patrol that is realistic and not frenetic, high drama, and tense, it would be nice. I will leave this area, probalmente, for another work contract. My plan was only to be here in summer and fall! I really enjoy the cross country skiing here. Telemarking seems like a great idea, Sharon mentioned, to challenge yourself a bit.
