I went today at Ski La Reserve, near Tremblant, north of Montreal. This is for sure the most
extreme mountain in Quebec. In fact, from the summit, there is 1 beginner / intermediate trail
and one advanced trail... all the rest are double black diamonds and some of them could really
get a third black diamond, with some pitchs over 60-70 degrees, with more cliffs that you can
count. The lower part of the mountain is more intermediate, but there is some glades and a
snowpark to enjoy the lower part of our runs. This is one of the best mountain to go, after a
storm... but... well, here, we didn't have the chance of New England with the 25'' of snow in the
last storm, and the mountain really needs to have a big snowfall soon, with all the people skiing
during their holidays.

To get more snow, they made some "cement" in the extreme trail under the main quad
chairlift. Normally, this is one of the best trail of the mountain, but today, it wasn't really
interesting. In general, the glades miss snow and have some grass and rocks in several places.
Then, it's probably not the best time to try the mountain for the first time, but at least, almost all the terrain is open and I really got some fun, with all the challenge that the mountain offers. For example, for the extreme sensations, this is the Upper Pirouette, a "double" black diamond trail.

The second pic is the "Chute Libre" (Free fall), under the main quad chairlift. Unfortunately, the
most skiable zone was just "cement snow", today, but the rocky left part of the pitch (not
appearing) was enough interesting.

Well, after that day, the only thing I have to do now is pray for big snowfalls here !!!
