I had ambitious plans for this whole week, but at the time my body felt a little different than it does right now. Hung over, you might say. I knew when I woke up this morning that I wasn't going out to sea in search of whitecaps. No, today I stayed inland and enjoyed the placidity of cruising through the emptiness. Long, deserted & smooth trails were the rule. Snow falling through calm air, setting curved edges in warm butter & <BR> holding for long, wide, cool soothing grooves. Occasionally, I saw people. Could have been a breath mint commercial. If you get the chance to ski Smuggs on a Monday, don't pass it up.
