Even though it was in the 60s today, they made 16" of snow in one of the parking lots at Pac Bell Park for the 3rd Annual Icer Air event. The first year the jump was on a steep SF street and last year it was in centerfield at AT&T Park. This year they used what they called a catapult to tow jumpers into a 16 foot high jump that required a right turn to land on the downslope. We only saw a few jumps, picked up some swag, split one beer in the fenced off beer garden before leaving to take a walk to the Ferry Building. They were going to have bands until 8:15 pm, but the event seemed like it was more for people under 30.
What got me there was I had pre-purchased two tickets using a code from Heavenly that got you in for $20 plus I had train tickets that didn't cost me much and expire next month. Then, they gave a Heavenly lift ticket to the first 5,000 attendees. Since they still had lift tickets, I went out and bought another $28 ticket to get another lift ticket for my 16 year-old. The tickets are even good weekends, except holidays, which should work with my Sun-Fri Kirkwood pass.
